Rajasthan Spinning and Weaving Mills Ltd (RSWM) has reported a net profit of Rs 4.1 crore in the third quarter, registering an increase of 53.6 per cent compared to year ago period.
The profit before tax stood at Rs 10.09 crore compared to Rs 4.35 crore for the same period.
Earnings went up to Rs 65.07 crore compared to Rs 46.06 for the nine-month period.
Recent expansion and modernization program has helped in achieving such a performance, said Joint Managing Director Riju Jhunjhunwala.
To take the company further a second phase of expansion has been undertaken.
It consists of setting up of a 48 MW thermal power plant at a cost of Rs 160.
A 20 million meters per annum, modern denim manufacturing facility at a cost of Rs 190 crore is to be set up.
Capacity expansion of existing operations will be done at a cost of Rs 50 crore.
RSWM has more than 70 weaving machines which produces about 52,000 MT of yarn and about 12 million metres of fabric annually.
