Shri Lakshmi Cotsyn, in a bid to expand its operations, proposes to build a plant in Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh.
Based at Kanpur, this textile company will invest Rs264 crore in the plant.
Manufacturing capacity of this plant will be 20 million metre denim fabric, 12 million metre bed linen and home furnishing, 6 million metre heavy weight bottom fabric and 3,000 ton terry towels.
With a plan to capture cotton-rich sectors of international markets, the plant will be operational from July, said M P Agarwal, Chairman and Managing Director.
Term loans of Rs185 crore, equity of Rs62 crore and internal accruals of Rs17 crore will finance the expansion scheme.
Presently, major exports products of the company are poly filament fabric and allied products.
It manufactures 18 million metre suiting shirting, 10 million metre cotton sheeting processing, 1.2 million metre embroidered and quilted fabric and 2.5 million metre industrial fabric for defense and others.
