Chemicals manufacturer DuPont Co and Russkie Kraski Corporation, the largest supplier of automotive coatings in Russia have signed an agreement in Yaroslavl, Russia, to create a joint venture named 'DuPont Russian Coatings LLC'.
The joint venture will carry out the manufacturing and marketing and sales of coatings for the Automotive and Commercial Vehicles OEM Industry in Russia and other CIS countries in Eastern Europe, using technologies licensed from both DuPont and Russkie Kraski.
Marty McQuade, VP and General Manager of DuPont Automotive Systems, said, "This new joint venture to serve expanding automotive production in Russia and other Eastern European countries builds on a series of DuPont investments to grow our business in emerging markets."
“Over the past several years, we have leveraged our technology and strengthened our market leadership position in South America and Asia, and now in Eastern Europe, to meet the needs of the world's fastest growing auto manufacturers," Marty said.
The Joint Venture is owned 51 percent by DuPont, and 49 percent by Russkie Kraski. It is located in Yaroslavl.
