The reserved Members area has also been refurbished, grouping together several sections already tested in its previous site, such as statistics, publications, information on credit lines, trade fairs and promotional activities (with increased content) and the technical department, into activity areas (business and finance, marketing, technical area).
The site also features a forum where associated members can express their comments, and a section dedicated to technical textiles project. In this area, companies can in fact find information on issues related to technical, innovative textiles and non-woven fabrics (with news from both the market and developments in technology).
Part of this section is also targeted at external visitors, who will find a club directory with a list of associated member manufacturers of machinery for technical textiles and non-woven fabrics.
Finally, the renewed ACIMIT website also contains a section conceived in collaboration with the SACE group, which intends to facilitate contact opportunities between its associated members and SACE Spa and SACE BT, with the aim of boosting support provided to exporting manufacturers.
More specifically, this section will present a range of products for financing sales abroad (supplier credit policies, policy transfers and multi-export policies), in addition to a download area for SACE forms and FAQs.
Alongside its traditional English version, the site will shortly feature a Chinese version, in response to the profound interest currently shown by Italy's textile machinery sector towards this important Asian market.
ACIMIT considers this restyling operation – not just in terms of layout, but more significantly in its content – a step forward in meeting the needs of its associated member companies, while confirming the website's global impact, backed by the 175,000 visits registered for 2005, with over 926,000 pages viewed.
ACIMIT is a trade organization for local manufacturers of textile machinery.
