Bombay High court has ordered the National Textile Corporation (NTC) not to destroy the 77 Heritage structures in its 25 mills in the metropolis, until it received Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's (BMC) final report.
The final report is expected to positively credit these structures from heritage point of view.
Indian National Trust for Architect and Cultural Heritage had appealed the high court to stop NTC from demolishing these structures.
The court while granting a stay adjourned further hearing till March 7, 2006 with a direction to the BMC to expeditiously submit its report before the next date of hearing.
