The partnership between Burlington WorldWide (BWW) and TrapTek LLC revolves around a new series of woven fabrics that offer specific comfort and performance benefits for Active wear, Menswear, Womenswear, Military, Homeland, Uniform, and Lifestyle markets.
These new offerings will address comfort issues through a new Natural Technology™, derived from coconuts, that provides evaporative cooling, odor resistance, and UPF protection.
Brad Poorman, President of TrapTek LLC, said, "Burlington WorldWide (BWW) has invigorated the marketplace by delivering new innovative products globally and competitively.”
“We are excited to be associated with a leading company whose business model is to move quickly and decisively to market," he added.
These products have been developed through a collaborative effort between the companies aimed at specific desired benefits and functionalities in each marketplace. The first woven products, directed at the active wear market, provide an evaporative cooling effect by rapidly moving moisture over the active particles creating unprecedented "dry times".
Burlington will also engineer products that will provide outstanding UPF properties with sheer constructions and will also be able to market the natural origins of this emerging technology.
Nelson Bebo, VP of Activewear, Burlington Worldwide, said, "We look at this new breakthrough technology as sustainable in the sense of both being derived fromcoconuts and also offering multiple functionalities to sustain the marketing of our fabrics.”
