Iconic West Australian designer label, Ruth Tarvydas International participated in Australian Style 2005 and as a result, is about to enter their second selling season with a local UK agent. Emma Davis from Ruth Tarvydas International said they were impressed with the quality of agents that came through to view the exhibition at last year's Australian Style.
“We felt there were a number of top UK agents all in the one place at the one time and with the right product on show, there was the opportunity for you to be able to connect with the right people,” Ms Davis said.
Luxury fashion accessories label, Spencer & Rutherford also participated in the 2005 event, appointing a UK agent, who has already stepped up the number of UK accounts they supply to.
“Australian Style was extremely instrumental in helping us secure the UK agent, who we are very happy with,” Sally Urguhart from Spencer & Rutherford said.
Australian Style in London is an initiative designed by Austrade to introduce the breadth of Australian fashion to the UK and European market, following on from the success of Australia's top designers in the UK, such as Collette Dinnigan, Sass & Bide, Tsubi, Nicola Finetti and Seafolly.
