Freight forwarders should carry out documentation, insists BGMEA

Bangladesh Garments Manufactures and Exporters Association (BGMEA) has stressed that the Government should allow cargo forwarding officials to complete the documentation work, as it will be a lot cheaper than involving shipping agents.
BGMEA explained in the letter to National Board of Revenue (NBR) that the exporters have to spend a lot just for the documentation procedure by the shipping agents.
Several other organizations like Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) are supporting this request by BGMEA.
