The Ministry of Textiles commissioned extensive evaluation of its flagship scheme Technology Upgradation Fund Scheme (TUFS) on 2nd February 2006.
This independent external evaluation will be conducted by the prestigious KSA Technopak, Gurgaon.
Other reputed agencies like CRISIL, IL&FS, AC Nielsen ORG-MARG and others had also presented their proposals to evaluate this popular scheme.
The study will be completed in three months time. The Textile Commissioner, assisted by Mrs Shashi Singh, Jt. Textile Commissioner will personally monitor the evaluation. The evaluating agency has been asked to cover 10 percent of the TUFS beneficiaries, covering all sectors and important regions will be included.
