Last week cotton prices hovered around Rs2525 per maund in Pakistan and the week ended at that price, Saturday.
However, this week which began today saw lower prices at Rs2510 per maund, reveals sources of Karachi Cotton Association (KCA).
According to Cotlook Indices, A Index was 59.15 and B Index stood at 57.00.
Only two cotton stations registered transactions on March, 6, 2006. Rahim Yar Khan witnessed transactions of 1000 bales of cotton at Rs2550 per maund and 1000 bales changed hands at Upper Sindh for the same price.
