Saurer adds Fehrer & Kortec in its nonwoven business

In 2005, sales of approx. EUR 30 million will be achieved with approx. 180 staff. Besides machine production, a considerable proportion of the turnover stems from the worldwide services and spare parts business. Already in April this year, Saurer took over Kortec GmbH, also working in the nonwoven field.
Kortec is the leading supplier in festooning technology, which is a laying method for bulky and/or elastic strip materials. It enables space-saving plaiting-down in particular of bulky nonwoven strips and therefore optimally complements the airlaid technology. The portfolio thus created means Saurer can offer customer-specific total solutions for all the main manufacturing and treatment processes in the nonwoven industry.
