Biggest caprolactam manufacturer in Russia Kuibyshevazot with a domestic market share of about 45 percent produces PA 6 chips with a market share in Russia of about 16 percent.

Kuibyshevazot also produce a wide range of other chemical products like cyclohexane, cyclohexanone and mineral fertilizers.

In April 2004 the company produced for the first time high tenacity PA 6 yarns.

The chips used to feed the spinning machine are produced at the same location.

The plant also includes production of spun yarn, cabled cord and woven fabric.

Rieter is a leading manufacturer of extrusion components for the production of industrial yarns and tire cord.

Each component is designed to fit into the most optimized extrusion line.

Based on its process know-how and long experience in fiber spinning, Rieter has further developed its well-established extrusion process and now offers complete systems for tire cord and industrial filaments with improved extrusion components.

The contract with Kuibyshevazot represents the first complete spinning line for PA 6 HT yarn to be supplied by Rieter featuring its own components.

This success follows the declared strategy of Rieter to enter the field of High Tenacity Yarn spinning system supplier with PA 6.

The Rieter product line will be extended with PET HT/LS technology after the validation of the pilot line at Rieter in Winterthur in Spring 2006.

Rieter Group operates internationally, developing and producing sophisticated systems for the textile and automotive industries.

In fiscal 2005 Rieter generated sales of CHF 3'160 million with some 13'500 employees worldwide.

The Textile Systems Division accounted for CHF 1'109 million and the Automotive Systems Division for CHF 2'037 million of this total sales.
