Uster – Symposium in Syria
Textile electronics instrument manufacturer Uster Technologies AG says that holding regular symposia is one of the recipes for success of Uster Technologies AG.
By provid-ing specialist knowledge and product know-how, the company seeks direct contact with customers and interested parties. These events are organized by USTER subsidiary companies or local agents and enjoy a huge following – yet more proof of the great interest shown in the USTER brand.
A recent seminar was held in Aleppo, Syria, and was attended by specialists from 48 companies. The preparations for this event were made in close cooperation with the USTER agent in Syria, Middle East Industrial Equipment (MEE), providing USTER with the opportunity to invite leading textile specialists from all over Syria and give them a detailed picture of the quality management systems of Uster Technologies AG.
Wolfram Soell, Product Manager Yarn Clearing of Uster Technologies AG, opened the seminar with a brief presentation of the company, first of all introducing the USTERIZED concept.
Mr. Ahmed Oulabi of OulabiTex, the first USTERIZED certified spinning mill in Syria, then talked about his experiences with the quality label, pointing out the increased opportunities in the market which are afforded by having this certification.
After a short break, the symposium visitors received detailed information about the new USTER TESTER 5, which was presented for the first time at the ITMA ASIA 2005 in Singapore. Finally, a lecture on “Quality Management in Competitive Markets” explained the background and the influ-encing factors of the globalization in the textile industry.
