Handlooms Centre & Weaver's Association ask for key demands

Centre for Handlooms Information and Policy, and Andhra Pradesh Handloom Weavers Association called for the government to execute the 1985 Reservation Act in Andhra Pradesh and also set up centres for production and supply.
D Narasimha Reddy, Co-ordinator, Centre for Handloom Information and Policy, Santha Rao, Secretary AP Handloom Weavers Association and J N Seshaiah, District Secretary were among those present at the meeting.
Other demands included special package for women working in the handloom sector and allotment of Rs54 crore for the textile sector.
