Chemical Industries Association (CIA) announces the launch of its new Service Network, REACHReady, which will be offering industry a comprehensive range of services to meet the needs of the REACH regulations, due to come into force next year.
REACHReady is a new enterprise by CIA, who are recognised as a leading business voice for UK chemical companies.
This new company will provide a number of tools to help customers identify whether their products fall within the scope of REACH; how much it might cost to ensure compliance and also which service providers are most appropriate to complete whatever actions are required by the new legislation.
There will also be a Helpdesk, and regular updates on how the legislation is progressing.
Steve Elliott, CIA Chief Executive said:
“I am very proud to be launching this new service today to the chemical industry and its customers. I truly believe CIA has the experience, expertise and key connections to ensure that REACHReady will offer a first-class service to its customers, enabling them to not only respond positively to this legislation but to gain a competitive edge over those who are slower off the mark.”
The new website is available at www.reachready.co.uk, where customers can sign up to take advantage of REACHReady.
The new REACH (Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals) regulations have had a long gestation period, but come into force next year. Now all those involved in the production of chemicals must start to plan what action they need to take to ensure the requirements are met by the due date.
CIA is UK chemical industry's leading trade and employer's association. It operates through high level, policy-forming boards and issue-focused groups that define our offering and contribute significantly towards our - and our members' - overall effectiveness.
