Largest departmental store operator Hart Stores Inc has informed that J Pierre Brunet, PhD has joined its Board of Directors.
Brunet is currently a member of a number of advisory boards and is currently Chairman of the Board of Advisors of PEAK Financial Group Inc, where his responsibilities include managing strategic growth and organization issues.
"We are very pleased to have Brunet as a member of our board and expect that his knowledge and experience will benefit the company, its shareholders and investors as we continue to execute our focused expansion plan," said Harry Hart Executive Chairman of Hart Stores.
The company also announces that as part of its focused expansion plan it will be opening two new stores in Ontario. A 28,000 sq ft store is scheduled to open in Arnprior, Ontario on March 23rd and a 30,000 sq ft store in Parry Sound, Ontario on March 29th.
The opening of these two new locations will bring the total number of stores operating in the Hart Stores chain to 73 by the end of March. It will also be re-opening on March 30th its Sudbury, Ontario store which has been closed for 4 months due to a fire.
