Operating profit increased 25.4 percent year on year basis, up from Rs 7.1 crore to Rs 8.9 crore. This was after a period of high raw material costs in the previous year due to higher fuel oil and polyester costs.
The company has diversified into cotton yarn manufacturing in the present fiscal with setting up of 18,000 spindles with plans to enter into joint ventures with foreign companies.
It plans to focus on fabrics and clothing business and would like to turn it into a profitable venture as well, informed Toshniwal.
