Sanjay Jayavarthanavelu, Director, Lakshmi Machine Works Ltd has been elected as the new Chairman of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Tamilnadu for the year 2006-07.
Jayavarthanavelu was Chairman of CII Coimbatore zone during 1997-98 and was Chairman of the Textiles Sub-Committee of CII, southern region during 2002 and 2003.
He is Chairman of Young Indians (Yi), Coimbatore Chapter and Past Chairman of Textile Machinery Manufacturers Association, Mumbai.
R Ramaraj, Managing Director, Sify Ltd was elected Vice Chairman of CII, Tamilnadu for 2006-07.
Ramaraj has been Chairman of Connect 2005 - the Annual IT event of held in 2005 in Chennai. He is also a member of the CII southern regional council and has been involved in Indian IT Industry for more than17 years.
