At global leather industry's premier annual event, the Asia Pacific Leather Fair (APLF), plays host to over 2,600 exhibiting companies in Hong Kong. They come from 62 countries and regions, from A (Argentina) to Z (Zimbabwe).
APLF is two fairs in one: Materials, Manufacturing and Technology (MMT) which represents the manufacturing sector of the leather and shoe making industry: and Fashion Access, that is devoted to finished goods.
At MMT buyers will be able to talk to suppliers of everything from raw hides and skins, through to dyes and chemicals, tanning machinery, shoe making machinery, CAD/CAM software and systems, exotic leathers, upholstery leathers and the latest in synthetic materials.
There are over 1,800 companies from 59 countries and regions, with 34 group pavilions from 20 countries and regions at MMT. Collectively they represent all that is dynamic and exciting in the international leather and shoemaking industry.
Fashion Access (FA) - The rapid growth of this fair reflects the development of the international footwear and accessories markets worldwide. Of some 850 companies exhibiting, from 34 countries and regions, over 170 are appearing for the first time.
Importers, brand buyers, boutique owners and specifiers are among the many buyers who come to meet suppliers of footwear, bags, leathergoods, travelware, garments and accessories.
Focus Country – India: Since its inception in 1984, in very modest surroundings, APLF has developed into being far more than just another trade exhibition. The steady growth of the fair has been due to its ability to reflect the constant changes within the industry, even as they were taking place.
