Sinopec bags Kazakhstan petrochemical EPCC contract

Sinopec Engineering (Group) Co., Ltd has officially signed an EPCC contract with Kazakhstan Petrochemical Industries (abbreviated as KPI). The project is located in the Karabatan region, Atyrau Province.

According to the contract, the work scope of SEG includes PDH of 500,000 tons per year, PP plant as well as utilities required by the two plants, and design, procurement, construction, start-up and performance assessment of the off-site supporting infrastructure.

The project will be carried out when it satisfies the validation conditions. The working duration takes 36 months and the total sum of the contract is 1.85 billion US dollars (about 11.4 billion RMB), accounting for 29.6% of the operating revenue of SEG.
