PTT Asahi once again delays restart of Thai ACN plant

PTT Asahi has once again delayed the restart of an acrylonitrile (ACN) plant in Thailand, due to technical reasons. 
 
It was shut in beginning of May 2013 for maintenance turnaround and was scheduled to restart in mid-June 2013. 
 
On June 19, a PTT Asahi official had informed fibre2fashion that the restart had been rescheduled for end-June. 
 
Now it is learnt that PTT Asahi has still not been able to decide a date for bring the ACN plant on-stream.
 
Located in Map Ta Phut, Thailand, the plant has a production capacity of 200,000 mt/year.
