The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, announces that CTT Group has been granted financial assistance to improve its operational efficiency and thus strengthen its capacity to support textile companies in their various projects.

"To ensure sustainable and job-creating growth, the Government of Canada actively supports organizations that, like the CTT Group, play a technology support role vis-à-vis businesses," said Minister Lebel.

Founded in 1983, CTT Group is a non-profit knowledge-based centre of excellence, research and development, innovation, expertise and testing. In fulfilling its mission, which is to facilitate the growth of firms specializing in innovative technical textiles, geosynthetics and other flexible materials, it offers members a full range of technical and commercial services, access to valuable information and support in the design and development of processes and products. CTT Group manages the college technology transfer centre affiliated with Saint-Hyacinthe CEGEP.

Specifically, CTT Group's project consists of increasing laboratory computing capacity, computerizing the management of industrial files and setting up an electronic information exchange platform.
