This week began on a note of decline in cotton prices and the prices have now come to stagnate today at Rs2400 per maund.
According to Karachi Cotton Association (KCA), about 9800 cotton bales changed hands at several cotton stations.
Today, only 400 bales were transacted at SDK for Rs2400, 800 at Sanghar for Rs2325, 1400 at Feroza for Rs2340, 1600 at Khanpur for Rs2475, 2000 at Mehmoodabad for Rs2475 and 3600 bales sold at RYK for Rs2475 per maund.
On April 4, 2005 Cotlook Indices recorded A Index at 57.95 and B Index at 55.90.
