The show, which this season moved to the larger and more central InnoCentre venue in Kowloon, enjoyed strong traffic, despite being cut short by a typhoon. In total, approximately 271 attendees from 103 companies shopped the show floor for the Fall/Winter 2014 season.

Attending brands ranged from Givenchy and Burberry to Gap, Levi’s, DKNY, American Eagle Outfitters, Target, S.Oliver and Ralph Lauren.

Three main trends emerged on the Kingpins Hong Kong show floor:
Denim for F/W 2014 will continue to dig down into its deep blue American roots. The trend leans heavily toward true indigo hues, classic silhouettes, natural-looking wear patterns and fabrications ranging from classic raw denim to soft, buttery textures.

Brands looking for a sense of luxury for the F/W 2014 gravitated toward textured denim. Mills offered jacquards, nubby weaves, embroidery, dobby weaves and all manner of techniques. Womenswear brands opted for classic florals and organic-feeling patterns while menswear brands opted for textures that recalled checkerboard and plaid patterns.

The all-over print trend continues into F/W 2014. Mills offered prints ranging from masculine camouflage to uber feminine florals, spots, natural elements such as leaves and insects, animal prints and even art-inspired prints. Colors ranged from shades of indigo to saturated tones of pink, green, purple, black and white.
