Textile designer Sasiwan Dumrongsiri of Chabatik will talk on "Mudmee son" (Double Ikat) at the upcoming TTS Collector’s Corner on Saturday, 5 October.

At this special exhibition of her work, Khun Sasiwan will talk about the elaborate patterns, the process, the weavers and the methods of computer generated "Mudmee son" – Double Ikat – all of which link the past with the future.

- Double Ikat is a technique in which both warp and the weft are resist-dyed prior to stringing the loom.

-  In Thailand, the ikat type of woven cloth is known locally as Matmi, Mudmee or Mudmi and was traditionally woven for ceremonial costumes and for daily use among the nobility
