Yeochun Naphtha Cracking Center (YNCC) is planning to shut its No.3 naphtha cracker for maintenance turnaround in September 2014.

“The naphtha cracker would remain off-stream for maintenance turnaround for around 40 days,” a company official told fibre2fashion.

Located in Yeosu, South Korea, the cracker has a production capacity of 550,000 mt/yr.

“The cracker is currently operating at full capacity rates,” the official informed.

YNCC pyrolyzes naphtha to produce basic feedstock materials for the petrochemical industry, such as ethylene, propylene, benzene, toluene, xylene, styrene monomer and butadiene, and supplies them to domestic and overseas markets.
