Nahar Group's Textile Park to get funds to the tune of Rs1050cr

Textile major Nahar Group will pump in additional Rs1050 crore in the next two years for developing its 550 acre textile park at Lalru in Punjab.
Under this expansion move, company plans to set up spinning units with a capacity of 1,25,000 spindles, 4320 rotors and 250 air jet looms and a process house with a capacity of 1,00,000 metres per day, said Nahar Group Vice Chairman and Managing Director Kamal Oswal.
Till now, company has invested Rs1,500 crores on the park to develop basic infrastructure.
Company has 1,50,000 spindles, 1800 rotors, 426 air jetlooms, a processing house with the capacity of 1,00,000 meters per day, a mercerising unit with a capacity of 2040 Metric Tons at the park and a denim manufacturing unit with a capacity of 20 million metres per year.
Company has also built 17 MW co-generation power plant to meet necessity of units in first stage, and for second phase, extra 21 MW power generation capacity would be set up.
When the park is fully operational, its capacity go up to 2,75,000 spindles, 6120 rotors, 676 air jet looms, while its process house capacity will reach 2,00,000 meters per day, alongwith mercerising unit having a capacity of 2040 metric tons per annum and denim manufacturing unit with a capacity of 20 millions metre per day.
