Heading for inorganic growth, Welspun India Ltd is finding opportunities for acquiring two textile companies in the United States and Europe.
Largest producer of terry towel in Asia, and one of the top five companies in the world with a fully integrated terry towel unit at Vapi (Gujarat), Welspun wants to expand its overseas business in a big way.
Akhil Jindal, President, Welspun told media that with acquisitions, company plans to have a strong marketing foothold in those countries. However, he did not reveal much under the pretext that it would be untimely to comment on them (acquisitions).
