CPC Corporation, Taiwan’s state-owned oil and gas company, will shut its No.6 naphtha cracker for maintenance turnaround next month.

“The cracker will be shut down for maintenance in February 2014, and it is likely to remain off-stream for around 70 days,” a company official told fibre2fashion.

Located in Linyuan, Kaohsiung, Taiwan, the cracker has an ethylene production capacity of 720,000 mt/year.

“The cracker is presently running at 100 percent operating rate,” informed the official.
