For many years German clothing maker Gardeur AG has been a strong exporter.

Customers in many countries throughout all five continents sell the brand with resounding success especially in the Netherlands, Belgium, Great Britain, Ireland, Sweden, Austria, Switzerland, the CIS States and in Canada.

In 2005 exports accounted for 50.7 percent of corporate sales. And recently, Gardeur 'set sail' for China. With the help of a Chinese licencee Gardeur is penetrating the market. And the number of Gardeur Shops in highly frequented department stores is growing fast.

The first Gardeur Shop at the Lufthansa Department Store in Beijing was opened at the beginning of June 2005, followed only a little later by the Shop openings in TaiYuan, Haerbin City and ShenYang City. Mid January 2006 will now see the sixth Gardeur Shop open its doors at the XiMei Department Store in Shi JiaZhuang City. And the next destinations have been finalized already.

In order to make the brand known in China events were organized, advertising space was bought and advertising areas were booked in the department stores. Gardeur's own Chinese staff ensures smooth communication between Mönchengladbach and Beijing and organizes in-depth sales assistant training locally.

The product portfolio on offer includes Gardeur's menswear range. Core products are trousers, denims and leather belts exclusively delivered from Mönchengladbach. These Shop collections are complemented by German cooperation partners for jackets, knitwear, sweatshirts and shirts as well as by outdoor and leather jackets sourced by the licencee in China.

Gardeur AG manufactures lady and gentleman clothing and drives these out more über the clothing specialized trade.
