Industrial production steady in both euro-zone & EU25

Non-durable consumer goods increased by 2.2 percent in both zones. Intermediate goods rose by 2.2 percent in the euro-zone and by 1.8 percent in the EU25.
In February 2006, and among the Member States for which data are available, industrial production rose in seventeen Member States and fell in six.
The highest increases were registered in the Czech Republic and Lithuania (both +11.8 percent), Hungary (+11.6 percent), Luxembourg and Poland (both +10.1 percent), while the largest decreases were recorded in Ireland (-5.3 percent), Greece (-1.7 percent), Portugal and the United Kingdom (both -1.4 percent).
