To promote the manufacturing competitiveness in the country, Assocham has recommended to create an executive board of senior industry executives and members of National Manufacturing Competitiveness Council.
The chief responsibility of this board would be to give an overall direction to action plan decided by Assocham.
The organization has also suggested formation of an Assocham secretariat in association with National Manufacturing Competitiveness Plan (NMCP) for industries such as telecom, steel, textile etc.
It has also suggested formation of an NMCP task force council. This council would bridge activities of sectoral task forces and help establish priorities.
