Hengli Petrochemical, part of the Jiangsu-based Hengli Group, one of the world’s leading weaving firms, has restarted its purified terephthalic acid (PTA) line post-maintenance.

The company has two PTA lines of 2.2 million tons/year capacities each at Dalian in China.

“Line one was shut down for maintenance two weeks ago and was restarted on Monday, June 16, 2014,” a company official told fibre2fashion.

Line one is currently operating at 80-90 percent rates, the official further informed.

At present, the company has no plan to shut the second PTA line.
