Global Chemical to shut naphtha cracker for maintenance

Thailand-based PTT Global Chemical PCL (PTTGC) is likely to shut its naphtha cracker for maintenance turnaround this year.
 
“The I 4-No.2 cracker is planned to be shut for maintenance turnaround in mid-September 2014 for around one month,” a company official told fibre2fashion.
 
The cracker, located at Map ta Phut, Thailand, has production capacity of 400,000 tons/yr.
 
PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited was founded on October 19, 2011 through the amalgamation of PTT Chemical Public Company Limited and PTT Aromatics and Refining Public Company Limited to be the chemical flagship of PTT Group.
 
The company has 7 main business lines, and it currently has chemical and petrochemical production capacity of 8.72 million tons/year.
