Sonia Textiles Ltd has informed BSE that a major fire broke out in the Faridabad plant of the Company on April 30, 2006.
The Company has mainly three sections i.e. Knitting, Dyeing and Garmenting. The Garmenting section has been destroyed completely, which caused breaking of production cycle of the Company.
The production process will take some time to get re-started. Orders are being placed for the new machines for the said division to start the operations at full swing.
The loss suffered due to above is being calculated
