Dow's Fort Saskatchewan ethylene cracker back on line

Dow Chemical Company’s Fort Saskatchewan, Canada, based ethylene cracker is back on line at low operating rates after an unplanned outage was experience on July 22, 2014.
 
The ethylene cracker in Fort Saskatchewan is currently back on line at low operating rates, and necessary repairs are being made to bring the operating rates back to full production as quickly as possible, the company said in a statement.
 
Dow’s latest estimates show that approximately 100 kT of ethylene production will be lost as a result of this event.
