Idemitsu Kosan shuts No.2 aromatics plant for maintenance

Japan-based Idemitsu Kosan Co. Ltd. has shut its No.2 aromatics plant for maintenance turnaround.
 
“The No.2 aromatics plant was shut for maintenance on September 10, 2014, and is likely to remain shut till November 14, 2014,” a company official told fibre2fashion.
 
The No. 2 aromatics plant is located at Tokuyama in Japan, and it has a PX capacity of 220,000 tons/year.
 
“MX is no more produced at Tokuyama aromatics plant,” the official informed.
 
Idemitsu also has an aromatics plant at Chiba and the combined benzene capacity of Tokuyama and Chiba plants is 800,000 tons/year.
