Idemitsu Kosan shuts naphtha cracker for maintenance

Japan-based Idemitsu Kosan has shut a naphtha cracker for maintenance turnaround.
 
“The naphtha cracker was shut in early September and maintenance work is expected to go on till November 2014,” a company official told fibre2fashion.
 
The naphtha cracker is located at Tokuyama in Japan, and has an Ethylene capacity of 620,000 tons/yr.
 
The cracker, along with a refinery, together has Propylene capacity of 820,000 tons/yr.
