The award underlines the importance of the architectural quality of textile products and whole-room solutions and the competition is aimed at architects, interior architects and designers, as well as firms that process textile products.
Led by the trade journal AIT, some 25 trend scouts, representing the architecture and interior architecture professions, will identify the latest sector trends at Heimtextil.
Architects and designers will sort through all the innovative products that are to be seen at Heimtextil and subsequently, 15 textile products will be nominated.
The results of this scouting process will be displayed on the stand dedicated to the Innovations Award "Architektur+ Textil Objekt" from the second day of the trade fair onwards.
For people with a particular interest in innovation, the trend scouts are also offering a guided tour of the award-winning exhibitors on January 16. (AR)
