Yeochun Naphtha Cracking Centre (YNCC) is planning to shut its No.1 naphtha cracker for maintenance turnaround in May 2015.

“The naphtha cracker would remain off-stream for maintenance turnaround for around one month from May 15,” a company official told fibre2fashion.

Located in Yeosu, South Korea, the cracker has annual capacity to produce 860,000 tons of ethylene and 485,000 tons of propylene.

YNCC pyrolyses naphtha to produce basic feedstock materials for the petrochemical industry, such as ethylene, propylene, benzene, toluene, xylene, styrene monomer and butadiene, and supplies them to domestic and overseas markets.
