In the latest endorsement in home laundry for apparel care, the first domestic ironing system has been tested and accepted into the Woolmark programme for the care of wool garments at home.

This represents a new Woolmark licensing category in apparel care to enter the global Woolmark scheme.

The ironing system is produced by the Spanish manufacturer Solac who has introduced the new Compact Vapor Generator into their range which launches radical new technology that ensures ironing nirvana providing:

–Uniform temperature of the sole plate.
–Continuous vapour production – even at the lowest temperature settings.

Solac also highlight another benefit of the Compact Vapor Generator, that when used with their ironing system recommendations for garment pressing and the garment care label, it can prevent the shining of dark fabrics which is normally associated with standard pressing.

Woolmark is the only fibre to operate a global quality assurance scheme which is extended to the testing and approval of laundry and care products for wool.

The Woolmark is used by licensed companies in 65 countries around the world. Strengthening consumer confidence and trust on over 500 million new products each year, the power of the Woolmark remains strong in terms of its exposure and its importance to retailers and consumers as an independent quality endorsement.
