Ministry of Commerce jointly issued a notice concerning attraction of foreign investment in the logistics sector on 20 April 2006, which took effect from 31 March 2006.

Item 3 of the notice stipulates that foreign investors are allowed to set up foreign-invested logistic enterprises on an equity joint venture, contractual joint venture or wholly owned basis in all parts of the Mainland.

Furthermore, the minimum registered capital requirement specific to foreign-invested logistics enterprises has been uplifted. Yet foreign investors still have to fulfill the requirements stipulated in other relevant rules and regulations.
