Metro Group poised to open more than 100 stores in 2006

The growth drivers of the Metro Group - Metro Cash & Carry as well as Media Markt and Saturn - are scheduled to open more than 100 new stores in 2006. For the current year, Media Markt plans the market entry in Sweden.
Metro Cash & Carry will expand into Bosnia-Herzegovina and Pakistan by 2007. The Metro Group will thus soon be represented in 33 countries.
Metro Group is one of the most important international retailing companies. In 2005 the group reached sales of €55.7 billion. It has a headcount of about 250,000 employees and operates more than 2,100 outlets in 30 countries.
