Bombay Dyeing Q4 loss widens, FY net up 131%

Textile firm Bombay Dyeing & Manufacturing Company Ltd has announced the following Audited results for the quarter & year ended March 31st 2006.

The company has posted a net loss of Rs 74.00 million for the quarter ended March 31st 2006 (Q4 FY 05-06) as compared to net loss of Rs 34.40 million for the quarter ended March 31st 2005 (Q4 FY 04-05).

Total Income (net of excise) has decreased from Rs 2907.30 million in Q4 FY 04-05 to Rs 2188.50 million for Q4 FY 05-06.

The company has posted a net profit of Rs 613.40 million for the year ended March 31st 2006 (FY 05-06) as compared to Rs 265.60 million, an increase of 131%, for the year ended March 31st 2005 (FY 04-05).

Total Income (net of excise) has decreased from Rs 10493.90 million in FY 04-05 to Rs 10341.40 million for FY 05-06.

Further the company has informed that the Register of Members & Share Transfer Books of the company will remain closed from July 6th 2006 to July 27th 2006 (both days inclusive) for the purpose of Payment of Dividend & Annual General Meeting of the company to be held on July 27th 2006.

Bombay Dyeing & Mamufacturing Co - The company's principal activities are milling, processing and spinning of yarn and weaving of grey cloth. It supplies branded household textiles through the retail textile networks in the country. Besides home textiles, it also caters to the requirements of ready made garment industry and supplies micro dot interlining.

The company produces DMT (polyester material) and supplies the same as a raw material to various polyester units that use batch polymerization in their manufacturing process. The manufacturing plants and mills of the company are located in Maharashtra.
