Issues related to counterfeit, pirated and other infringing products in Asian Countries and territories, especially in China, have caused Japanese industry serious problems.
In order to remedy this situation, METI will request each trading partner to improve relevant legislation, enforce legal protection appropriately and effectively, and further strengthen enforcement efforts by administrative and judicial branches.
At the same time, METI will provide each trading partner with the support necessary to accomplish these changes.
