Home furnishing company Himatsingka to go overseas

Himatsingka Seide, leading exporter of home furnishing is projecting to go foreign market through retail venture by acquiring prospect companies in next 8-10 months.
A Rs300 crore has been earmarked towards the project and company is assessing bed linen brand in Western Europe, informed Shrikant Himatsingka, Executive Director, Himatsingka Seide.
Company is experimenting with its luxury brands to add value as it is planning to take on global competitors.
At initial phase company will start with 8-10 stores in next 18-24 months.
Himatsingka Seide is to invest Rs400 crore in new bed linen unit located at 180 kms away from Bangalore.
