Andhra Pradesh Handicrafts Development Corporation Chairman, B. Anjan Raju, informed the media that the Corporation's net profit soared 25 percent in 2005 with a rise of 22 percent in sales.

The media was further informed that the considering the encouraging development, the organization had decided to launch Lepakshi emporia in all districts of the state.
Corporation is also awaiting approval from the government for their proposal to establish State Institute of Handicraft Technology to award diplomas and degrees in handicraft technologies.
