Commodities to the value of EUR 30.4 billion (+5.6 percent) were dispatched to the euro-zone countries in April 2006, while the value of commodities received from those countries was EUR 25.8 billion (+8.4 percent).
Commodities to the value of EUR 14.5 billion (+11.0 percent) were dispatched to EU countries not belonging to the euro area in April 2006, while the value of the commodities which arrived from those countries was EUR 11.1 billion (+13.9 percent).
Germany exported commodities to the value of EUR 25.0 billion to and imported commodities to the value of EUR 21.9 billion from countries outside the European Union (third countries) in April 2006. Compared with April 2005, exports to third countries rose by 10.6 percent and imports from those countries by 19.8 percent.
