Moreover, based on the statistics of China's Customs Agencies, the total import and export value of textile machinery was $4.316 billion last year, with the export value of textile machinery standing at $871 million, increased by 30.34 percent annually, of which 96 percent was contributed by the eastern region.
Jiangsu Province led the country with an income of RMB12.278 billion from sale of textile machinery and a growth rate ranked among the top five alongside other provinces such as Zhejiang and Shandong. Therefore, with vigorous development of the textile industry in the eastern region, ShanghaiTex 2006 will surely help showcase the latest technologies and create business opportunities for China's textile industry.
This ShanghaiTex will be divided into professional areas upon the request of exhibitors and audience, i.e. an area for textile and chemical fibre machinery, an area for weaving machinery, an area for printing and dying machinery, an area for clothes machinery, an area for knitting machinery and an area for related spare parts, with a view to provide specialized equipment users a more comprehensive service.
Four seminars and five technical exchange meetings will also be held during the exhibition.
The 2006 National Symposium on Modern Textile Technology Progress and Show of New Products, Public Lectures on New Dying and Conditioning Chemicals and Equipment, National Meeting on Modern Weaving High- Tech and Air-Jet Looms, the Annual Meeting of Technical Cooperation Network for Hydraulic Looms, and Public Lectures on New Technology and Equipment for New Type Spinning and the 9th Large Exchange Meeting on New Type Spinning Technology will all be held.
