Leading manufacturer of branded textile polyester fibres and filament yarns Trevira also announces that a significant investment to upgrade part of the filament yarn production is being made at Trevira Neckelmann in Silkeborg, Denmark.

At the end of March Trevira signed a contract for the purchase of state-of-the-art air-texturising machines. These are latest generation machines, built for high quality and high flexibility to handle small lots and quick changes. They will gradually replace the old ones.

“The new machinery will enable us to make even better quality products at lower cost due to higher productivity and efficiency,” says Trevira's Managing Director for Marketing, Hemant Sharma. “We shall be able to serve our customers faster and better”.

The first new machine will be delivered in June. The entire project is scheduled to be completed in early autumn. There will be no interruptions in production and all incoming orders will be served without delay.

Trevira GmbH, a company of the Reliance Group, India, is Europe's leading manufacturer of branded textile polyester fibres and filament yarns. Production operations are located in Belgium, Denmark, Germany and Poland. In 2005, Trevira had 1,960 employees and sales of around 308 million euros.
